Throughout history, no species has have you been as fascinated with its fellow creatures as humans. We’ve hunted animals, eaten them, raised them, bred them, domesticated them, drawn them, composed songs and poetry on them, and loved them for millennia. So why? What is behind this intense fascination we’ve always had with creatures, whether fuzzy and cute or scary and dangerous–or both?
The thrilling excitment. Nothing compares with all the thrill you receive when you see a big animal rolling around in its surrounding initially. We love the rush and excitement of encountering bears, big cats, deer, eagles, owls, as well as other herbivores and predators. Though it’s ill-advised to achieve this in the wild, we like to watch them unseen, our breath caught within our throats and our hearts filled up with wonder. Just seeing the majesty and power these remarkable creatures once can be quite a life-changing experience. Another thing that bakes an encounter with a large animal inside the wild so memorable would be the fact it’s so rare–very not enough people have the privilege of encountering these animals anywhere, not to mention in the wild. We love to check out zoos to see big animals we’d never see within the wild, from a safe viewpoint behind glass or bars. Even seeing them in captivity will give us exactly the same feeling of excitement.
Curiosity. Exactly what do animals do when we’re not looking? Just how do they behave if they are happy, sad, scared, angry, or hungry? How can they hunt, exactly what do they eat, along with what do they really teach us about existing? A lot of us are thirsty for knowledge about animals and their lives. We would like to understand how they’re similar from us and the way they’re different. Maybe if we knew all there is to know about other animals, we’re able to better understand ourselves as being a species–and have a clearer picture of where we came from. We love zoos along with other animal facilities for the opportunity they give us to learn about animals and find out them close-up–some zoos even permit you to shadow a zookeeper to get a day. It’s hard to locate anybody that wouldn’t enjoy having an opportunity to learn more about animals both rare and diverse.
Feeling of wonder. Growing up, do you have a very favorite animal–one that seemed so beautiful, outlandish, powerful, or special you are convinced it had to have magical powers? Some of us fell in love with the expressive appeal of horses, some people with bizarre and outlandish animals like elephants and giraffes, plus some of us with powerful hunters like lions or wolves. We’ve always secretly wondered just what it would be love to run as being a cheetah, fly as an eagle, swing being a monkey, or swim as being a dolphin. In the biggest whales for the tiniest amoebas, animals have always filled us which has a a sense wonder. Along with their physical abilities often beyond ours, animals go about doing have particular powers. Like a species, animals have inspired us to master to fly in planes and fail the ocean in submarines–but we will never get it done with the grace of the bird or a fish. Maybe this is exactly why many people love protecting animals from pollution and poaching. When we lost the truly great number of animal species on the planet, we’d kill humanity’s feeling of wonder and inspiration, as well.
Setting up a connection. So many of us have loved a pet–whether your pet dog, the cat, a horse, a parakeet, or possibly a hamster. Anyone who’s ever owned a dog will advise you that animals have feelings and emotions, their very own intelligence, and their own way of communicating–and that they possessed a strong emotional hitting the ground with their pet. We love to that connection we’ve got with the pets, and a lot of of us believe it is possible to foster an association with any animal, regardless of how not the same as us. We dream about forging bonds with lions and tigers, observing monkeys and horses, and talking with dolphins and whales. We love to each time a fierce bird of prey lands on our arm without hesitation, whenever a cat cuddles trustingly inside our laps, every time a horse nickers to all of us like he’s greeting an old friend. Many animal-lovers will show you that animals make wonderful friends–they also ., they don’t really judge, plus they don’t hate. Irrespective of the reason you are craving that hitting the ground with a creature, most in our species do. When we’re talking with a creature, we humans feel less alone.
