With a lot of new materials and production methods invented from the mid-20th century, a barrage of latest frame styles soon followed suit and large round frames found they’d slipped off of the stylistic radar. And it’s the reality that this classic style can continue to conjure up a photo of refined, studious authority that’s meant big round framed specs have never strayed much in the frame style peripheral. It’s why they’ve been a choice of thinkers and visionaries alike. Above all, though, it’s why the frame style is coming in a large way almost century after its first foray onto the frontlines of fashion.

Big Rounded lenses are among the few true timeless classics; An item of fashion history that can still pull weight today. As frames, they’re a detailed rounder. They are top-notch small and wirey, or massive and chunky. They can complete a look having a stamp of intellectualism, or they can invoke a sense of care-free psychedelia. And whilst they aren’t always perfect for rounder faces, they do a great job of suiting most face shape.
