This innocuous book came to attention in 2005 and possesses passed through my hands repeatedly since. I had no inclination to peruse its contents for I’d ceased to believe in miracles. In 2005, I used to be cursing God for abandoning me. I became using my energy to stop the hell I descended into Fifteen years earlier by marrying a male as un-Godly anyone could possibly be.
In 2007, while packing some books as donations for a book fair, me once again fell on “A Course in Miracles”. By this time, I’d secured a divorce from my partner but was still being managing the fallout. While i grasped the ebook, I came to be very thoughtful and calm. The fact that was it about it book that invoked feelings I hadn’t experienced with some time? My hand clung on the book refusing to place it down. Knowing this was an indication that we should take particular notice, I created a cup of joe and sat inside my favorite reading chair. With great curiosity, I focused on the blue hardcover and read “A Course in Miracles, a basis for inner peace.” Wow. Which was a fairly bold statement but okay, I made the decision to bite. Having a deep breath slowly, I pondered the most obvious question: What’s the foundation for inner peace? This book instantly opened a well used wound and it ought to contain the solution to healing.
“A Course in Miracles” is really that, a course. Coded in three parts, this book is just not to get taken lightly and cannot be read per week or even a month. There’s text, a workbook for college students and a manual for teachers. I had created the sudden urge to fling the book through the room since i was deeply and profoundly afraid. I instinctively understood once I began scanning this book, I became going to have to change and was I ready to the journey ahead?
My favorite movie is “The Matrix”. The principle character Neo is searching for the reply to the matrix. He understands the matrix exists but he doesn’t know very well what it really is. The guy with all the answer, Morpheus, contacts Neo and provides the opportunity for truth by giving Neo an alternative between taking a blue pill or possibly a red pill. Go ahead and take blue pill and grow ignorant or go ahead and take red pill and locate what is anxiety the matrix. Before he reaches for his pill associated with preference, Morpheus cautions Neo that will he pick the red pill, they can never get back to lifespan he been living.
“A Course in Miracles” will be the red pill. Must i see clearly and change everything I know about the world and myself or will i take the blue pill and earn “A Course in Miracles” book fair fodder?
Because i choke on the red pill, I flip to Lesson 1 of 365 within the workbook for college students and promptly read, “Nothing on this room means anything”. Oh dear. Can it be far too late to take the blue pill?
