A Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA), certification will give you a head start. It is the base certification for Enterprise Wi-Fi within the CWNP family of certifications and a springboard toward earning your security, design, analysis and network expert certifications.
Are you familiar with the basics of wireless technology? Do you know how WLAN work and how it’s managed day-to-day? Do you have the ability to install, configure and troubleshoot and maintain wireless networks within small business or Enterprise deployments?
As the demand for wireless continues to grow, so does the need for certified network administrators.
How to become a Certified Workplace Network Administrator:
The CWNA certification is a foundational level wireless LAN certification for the CWNP Program. You must pass the CWNA exam at a Pearson Vue Testing Center to earn a CWNA certificate. Instructors must pass with a 80% or higher. However you choose to prepare for the CWNA exam, you should start with the exam objectives, which cover the full list of skills tested on the exam.
The CWNA certification is valid for three (3) years. Pass one of the professional certification exams (CWSP/CWDP/CWAP) to recertify your CWNA. By doing so, the CWNA will be renewed for another three (3) years. Or retake the current version of the CWNA exam.
Although the Certified Wireless Specialist (CWS), and Certified Wireless Technician(CWT) certifications do not have to be completed in order to obtain the CWNA certification, they are highly recommended. It will give you a solid foundation for the CWNA.
